To all parents / guardians of BYS Hip Hop Campers:
ALL camps run 9:00am-4:00pm (Drop off is between 8:30 & 9:00am and pick up is between 4:00 & 5:00pm)
We are excited about another summer of awesome hip hop and breakdance camps with your child! Please read the following important information, which will ensure the smooth running of your child’s week of camps with us!
Your child will be entertained in a full day of camps involving hip hop, breakdance, choreography, arts and crafts, music video creating, some outdoor time and occasionally get to go bowling (donated by Mad Trapper Alleys). With the days revolving around so much activity (this is a dance camp after all!), it is crucial your child has a water bottle to keep hydrated.
It’s important your child arrives at camp with a healthy lunch for the day including snacks. Because of the physical nature of the camp, it might be a good idea to pack extra snacks for your child to ensure they don’t get hungry.
Yukon’s weather can be quite unpredictable. It may be sunny in the morning, and by the afternoon cold and cloudy. Please make sure your child has adequate clothing.
We spend a majority of our time in the studio and might go outside if the weather is nice. We ask that your child have indoor and outdoor shoes for camp. The studio floors are easily marked, so please help us maintain our dancing space … we are asking no outdoor shoes in the studios!
Last but not least, your child will be performing in a show on Friday! The show will be at 3:30pm at the end of each week. We suggest you invite friends and family to showcase your child’s week of dancing! You will also get a copy of the music video your child has participated in making over the course of each week. The Friday showcase is a $2.00 donation towards our camps which contributes towards crafts, equipment, etc.
